Ninth and Lincoln is a musical project aiming to marry Denver’s finest jazz players with new streams in the world of big band composition. Its repertoire bridges the gap between jazz tradition and modern musical forms, including chamber and electronic music. The band features the finest performers in Colorado’s music scene.

The album earned Tyler Gilmore many of the nation’s top jazz composition honors including the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer’s Award in 2008-2010, and the ASCAP/Columbia College Commission in Honor of Hank Jones in 2009, and was given a 3.5 star review in Downbeat Magazine.
